Commentary: very rare; heavy; brown and bronze surfaces with some minor encrustation, good for type
History: Saloninus was murdered by Roman troops on the Rhine frontier in Colonia Agrippina, his brother Valerian two years earlier in Illyria - both young boys being victims to the failed policy of dynastic representation in the troubled provinces.
