Commentary: scarce; dark brown patina with yellow and green deposits, flat strike area on reverse
History: After nearly 100 years of extensive minting of so called "anonymous folles", putting the Christ and sometimes Mary on the coin and avoiding any reference to the earthly ruler, here Romanus shyly and modestly put his initials on reverse.
